There was a time in my life when everything seemed to fall apart. What I didn’t know then was that those moments of struggle were shaping the path I was meant to walk. Looking back now, I realize that the challenges I faced weren’t meant to break me—they were preparing me for something greater.

For over 35 years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring and guiding thousands of people, celebrating their successes, and helping them navigate life’s hurdles. But even with those accomplishments, I wasn’t immune to moments of doubt and overwhelming hardship. Life has a way of testing us, especially during pivotal transitions.

A few years ago, I faced one of the darkest periods of my life. It seemed as though every aspect of my world was unraveling—my job, my relationships, financial stability, and the loss of people I held dear. One blow after another pushed me further into a place of despair. The breaking point came when I received a rejection letter for a leadership role I had poured my heart into. Reading those words felt like the final straw. It brought me to my knees, tears streaming down my face, as the weight of it all pressed down on me. Anxiety and depression took hold, leaving me struggling to breathe, to hope, to move forward.

I tried to push through on my own, but the spiral felt unrelenting. Eventually, I reached for the help of a soul-level coach. That decision changed my life. My coach introduced me to the concept of the Wounded Healer—the idea that our deepest wounds can become the source of our greatest strengths. She helped me see that the pain and struggles I was facing weren’t just obstacles—they were opportunities for growth and transformation.

With her guidance, I began to see my challenges in a new light. She encouraged me to confront my fears, to lean into the discomfort, and to recognize the lessons hidden within my struggles. One powerful experience was walking across fire—a literal and symbolic act of breaking through the barriers that had been holding me back. It was terrifying and exhilarating, but most of all, it was liberating.

That experience became a turning point. I began to embrace the journey toward wholeness, understanding that falling down isn’t the end—it’s a chance to fall upward. The lessons I learned not only transformed my own life but also deepened my purpose.

Today, I am grateful to be able to guide others on their own journeys of growth and healing. Through the work I do, I help people discover their resilience and uncover the power within them to rise stronger than before. We all have the potential to turn our wounds into wisdom and our struggles into strength.
